This Roasted Mi Lan Xiang Fenghuang Dancong (also known as Phoenix Dan Cong / Dancong Oolong) comes from the core area of Fenghuang Town, Chao’an District, Chaozhou, Guangdong—the birthplace of Dancong, often called the “perfume of tea.” The Wudong Mountain area is also known for old “Song cultivar” tea trees, with some said to be over 600 years old.
This is a traditional roasted (nongxiang) style. Compared with light-aroma Dancong, it’s fuller and more lingering: dark glossy leaves, a bright orange-red liquor, with a warm charcoal-roasted note. The cup is smooth and rich, finishing with a clear, lasting “honey resonance”—ideal for drinkers who prefer depth and “yun” (lingering charm).
We don’t rely on hard-to-verify stories about “one specific tea farmer” or “one tea master.” Each season, we source the latest samples through multiple channels in the producing area, then repeatedly test and taste them—selecting the version with the best overall performance before offering it to you.
