Tea Origin (Mangfei, Lincang, Yunnan) Mangfei is a remote, high-altitude region in Lincang known for its steep slopes and resilient large-leaf tea trees. The unique soil composition—rich in minerals and slate—gives Mangfei tea its legendary 'strength' and ability to transform beautifully over time.
Our 2020 selection focuses on Autumn Material (Gu Hua). In the high mountains of Lincang, the autumn air is crisp and the tea trees grow more slowly, concentrating the sugars and minerals in the leaves. After 6 years of dry-aging, this 357g cake has become a stable and deeply rewarding example of why Mangfei is a rising star in the Pu'er world.
